Recovery Gear: A winch, tow strap, shackles, shovel, and traction boards are highly recommended. When we went out last time to this trail, there was a Toyota truck stuck on top of a boulder and it took a very long time to recover. Having a traction board saved these guys. Be Prepared for Self-Rescue: As mentioned, cell service is limited. You should be able to get yourself out of a sticky situation. We suggest go with a group of two or 3 vehicles for any emergency, everyone carries similar to different gears and your friend can play vital role saving you or others.
